Job Tracker frontend

This directory contains the statically exported Next.js 16 / React 19 / TypeScript frontend. Next supplies the build shell; React Router and src/App.tsx define the application routes.

Development and checks

npm ci
npm run dev
npm run lint
npm test -- --runInBand
npm run typecheck
npm run build

Open http://localhost:3000; local API calls use http://localhost:5202/api. Install Chromium once and run npm run test:e2e for the isolated browser suite.

NEXT_PUBLIC_API_BASE_URL is the only browser-visible API setting. Leave it empty in production so nginx proxies same-origin /api requests. It is embedded at build time and must never contain secrets.
