Phase 6 checkpoint log

Every completed logical unit is pushed to codex/ui-redesign-phase4, without force. Production main remains 27657f31131cd95d42f0e1290853ec9c9b3959a4. Hashes are appended by the successor checkpoint to avoid self-referential commit hashes. Work in progress belonging to the next unit is recorded separately from staged checkpoint files.
