# Job Tracker frontend

|
This directory contains the statically exported Next.js 16 / React 19 / TypeScript frontend. Next supplies the build shell; React Router and `src/App.tsx` define the application routes.
|
|
|
|
## Development and checks
|
|
|
|

|
|
Open `http://localhost:3000`; local API calls use `http://localhost:5202/api`. Install Chromium once and run `npm run test:e2e` for the isolated browser suite.
|
|
|
|
`NEXT_PUBLIC_API_BASE_URL` is the only browser-visible API setting. Leave it empty in production so nginx proxies same-origin `/api` requests. It is embedded at build time and must never contain secrets.
|
|
|
|
